SHORT TERM MISSION OPPORTUNITY AT THE SUMMER ENGLISH ACADEMY
WESTMINSTER THEOLOGICAL COLLEGE AND SEMINARY, CAMBODIA

1.    Position: English Instructor
​2.    Date: This annual program begins on the 3rd or 4th Monday of June and runs for four weeks.
3.    Purpose: To train young men and women in Cambodia through a four-week intensive ESL program.
​4.    Specific Responsibilities:
  • English Instructor: Prepare for and conduct ESL instruction for four weeks. Evaluate the students and keep accurate records of student performance. Support the other instructors and staff as needed.
  • Textbooks, Teacher’s Manuals, and Supplies: The school provides ESL textbooks, activity books, and the manual for instructors. Bilingual Instructional Aides may be assigned to the instructor to assist in various jobs.
​5.    Qualifications:
  • If you are a seminarian with Reformed and Presbyterian background, you are preferred for the position.
  • You must be a mature Christian committed to serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • You should be willing to share your Christian faith with others.
  • You are supposed to build relationships with the community by staying open and flexible to the culture around you
  • You must live and worship with the community during the program.
​6.   Travel and Financial Information:
  • Room and Board: WTCS provides you with room and board while you do your mission service in Cambodia, and airport transportation when you arrive and depart. 
  • Your Responsibility:

  1. Your Financial Responsibility: You need to raise funds for your airfare, and your personal and travel expenses. Your airfare depends on the airport from which you depart. 
  2. Travel Immunization: Check with the Centers for Disease Control (www.cdc.gov) for updated information regarding the travel destination.
  3. Passport: If you do not have a passport, you must begin the application as soon as possible. Please check www.travel.state.gov. You need to renew your passport if it expires within six months.
  4. Entrance VISA: You can get your visa at the Phnom Penh airport upon your arrival, and you need to prepare a passport photo for your visa and some cash for it (The current service fee is $30 for single for tourist, $35 for single business as of 2019.)
