Westminster Cambodia: The Focus of Our Current Ministry
In obedience to the Great Commission mandated by the LORD,
NLWV currently puts its focus on Westminster Theological
College and Seminary, Cambodia (WTCS), and exerts its utmost
unto the ministry through WTCS: firstly, teaching and
training future pastors and church leaders in Cambodia who
will plant new churches and serve the church, the body of
Christ; secondly, teaching and bringing up community leaders
who are well equipped with biblical worldview through the
training.
Westminster
Theological College and Seminary Cambodia (WTCS) offers
both degree programs and non-degree programs as follows:
Degree Programs
The BA in Theology to
equip men and women to bring the
informed Christian perspective
to bear on a variety of callings
and ministries by non-ordained
workers.
The Master of Arts in
Biblical Studies, Theological
Studies, and Biblical Counseling
to prepare men and women for
various church ministries and
for services outside the church,
including education, government,
business and other areas in the
society.
The Master of Divinity to
prepare men for ordained gospel
ministry (pastor, associate
pastor, church planter,
evangelist, teacher, etc.) with
classic Reformed confession of
faith.
The Master of Theology in
Biblical Studies (with majors in
OT or NT) and Theological
Studies (with majors in Church
History, Systematic Theology or
Apologetics) for further
preparation of one's pastoral
ministry, or his/ her teaching
ministry, or for more advanced
graduate study.
Non-Degree Programs
Pastoral
Education is to equip
current pastoral leaders for
gospel-driven ministry and
leadership in the local churches
and Christ-centered communities
through a week-long intensive
program administered four times
a year for every three-year
cycle.
English Language Program (ELP) is
a comprehensive ESL program, and
is made up of two
subdivisions:
Summer English Academy (SEA)
is a four-week intensive ESL
course for the underprivileged
youth and adults in Cambodia. It
will not only advance their
academic and vocational
opportunities but also let them
join WTCS community and get the
taste of the gospel to live the
rest of their lives with eternal
HOPE. Those who complete the
program successfully are
eligible to apply for admission
to the college program of
Westminster so as to pursue
their academic and theological
training to be Christian leaders
in their communities.
Preparatory English Language
Training (PELT) is a
13-week course during the
regular semester for WTCS
students who needs to improve
their English Language
proficiency so that they may
properly follow the classes
conducted in English.
