βThe Project began in the spring of 2007, succeeded in bringing Lois and Rachel from China to the States so that they attended a week-long intensive course of training in Biblical Counseling and the Annual Conference 2008, held by Institute of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD) in San Diego, California, during the last week of June. Upon completing the training at IBCD, NLWV sent them back to China the following Monday from LAX. Since then NLWV has carried out the Project every summer, although certain years the candidate was unable to make it because of the US entrance visa problem.
For the past seven years, we have been so glad to see quite a few men and women (Lois, Rachel, Joy, Ming, Sam, and Hazel) receiving the valuable training at IBCD and strengthening their potential to serve His Kingdom in radically new ways.
β
Unfortunately, the Board of IBCD decided not to offer its summer program from 2015 due to financial difficulty. Thus NLWV has to suspend the Project for the time being. When IBCD is ready anytime soon to offer its summer course again, NLWV will be able to resume the Project.
